സന്ധ്യ

കുങ്ക്കുമം ചാര്‍ത്തി വരും പെണ്കൊടിയെപ്പോലെ
ഈ വാനമെന്നും വിളങ്ങീടുമ്പോള്‍
പകലിന്റെ കല്‍പ്പടവുകള്‍ മെല്ലെയിറങ്ങി
നീ എവിടേക്ക് പോകുന്നു സന്ധ്യേ?

നിന്‍ നിറക്കൂട്ടുകള്‍ ചാലിച്ച് നിത്യവും
ഈ ഭൂമിയെ സുന്ദരിയക്കുവാനോ ?
നിന്‍ മൃദു കൈകളാല്‍ ദീപങ്ങള്‍ തെളിയിച്ചു
നിത്യവും ദീപാരാധന ഒരുക്കുവാണോ?

നിന്‍ സിന്ദൂരച്ചെപ്പ് മെല്ലെ തുറന്നിട്ട്‌
മേഘങ്ങളെ തൊടുകുറി ചാര്‍ത്തീടാനോ ?
നിമിഷാര്‍ദ്രങ്ങളാല്‍ തിരമാല തീര്‍ത്തെന്നും
സൂര്യനെ നിന്നുള്ളില്‍ മറയ്ക്കുവാനോ ?

രാവിന്‍റെ പടിവാതില്‍ തള്ളിത്തുറന്നു നീ
എവിടേക്കു പോയെന്നും മറയുന്നുവോ?
നീ പോകും വഴിയെ സഞ്ചരിചീടുവാന്‍
എന്‍ മനമെന്നും കൊതിക്കുന്നു സന്ധ്യേ

നിന്‍ നിത്യയാത്രയില്‍ സഹയാത്രികയായി
നീ എന്നെയും കൂട്ടുമോ പ്രിയ സന്ധ്യേ?

Life is a beautiful journey

Shore of memories

My life is like a seashore,
where I wait for the one
who is away from my heart
Where I love to see the blue sea
that takes me in and washes me away;

I waited for the one who broke my heart
while listening to the howling sea
And at last there came someone
like a messenger of love.

He came riding a horse;
with the beauty of sunshine;
He had twinkling blue eyes
and everlasting smile of winter.

At that hour of my life, I stood stock-still
But suddenly he disappeared;
together with the waves of the blue sea.
I waited silently for hours and hours…
And there came no one, only the waves.

Beyond the sea, my heart flew away
Away… far, far away from me…

Moonlit Night

On this winter night,
When snowflakes kissed the moonlit world
I looked at the beautiful sky,
And saw the sparkling stars and a smiling moon,
And heard the hum of the midnight winds

 Falling in love with that silent night
Your moon-like face came to my mind
Like the smiling moon behind the clouds,
Your thoughts fell into my heart like snowflakes.

Your beautiful eyes glanced at me,
Like the sparkling stars in that deep of night
I left your voice in my ears
Like the humming of the midnight winds;

Being in love with that beautiful night,
A silent love for you sprouted in me
Don't know why this love, and for what it is...
Whether its love or passion,
Whatever it is, it sailed like a ship in that moonlit night.

സഖീ നിനക്കായ്...

ദൂരത്തു പോയി ഒളിച്ചിടും നേരത്ത് 

ആരോ എന്‍ ചാരത്തു വന്നിരുന്നു

 എന്‍ മിഴിയിണകള്‍ അറിയാതെ നോക്കി,

ആരെന്ന രൂപവും ആരെന്ന ഭാവവും 

എന്‍ മുന്നില്‍ അന്ന് തെളിഞ്ഞതില്ല 

സ്വപ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ നെയ്തിടും രാവില്‍ ഞാനൊരു 

 മിന്നിമറഞ്ഞിടും നക്ഷത്രമായി

മാനത്തു തുള്ളികളിച്ചിടും നേരത്ത് 

ഒരു സുന്ദര നാദം ഒഴുകി വന്നു 

എന്തെന്ന രാഗവും എന്തെന്ന ഭാവവും 

എന്നുള്ളില്‍ അന്ന് തെളിഞ്ഞതില്ല 

ജന്മാന്തരങ്ങള്‍ പിന്നിട്ടു ഞാനിന്നൊരു 

കാറ്റില്‍ വിലയാടിടും പുഷ്പമായി 

ഇലയില്‍ തല ചായ്ചിടും നേരത്ത് 

ആരോ എന്നെ തലോടി നിന്നു 

ആരെന്ന രൂപവും ആരെന്ന ഭാവവും 

എന്‍ കണ്ണിനുള്ളില്‍ തെളിഞ്ഞതില്ല 

എങ്കിലും സഖീ, ഒന്ന് ഞാന്‍ അറിഞ്ഞു 

എന്നെ തലോടി കടന്നു പോയൊരു 

കാറ്റിന്‍ നറും മണത്തില്‍ 

നിന്‍ സ്നേഹ സന്ദേശം ഞാനറിഞ്ഞു.
